The following outings in the Conejo Open Space are offered by various organizations
and hike leaders including (but not limited to)
the Conejo Recreation and Park District,
the Conejo Group Sierra Club,
and the Outdoors Club.
None of the outings are offered by the Conejo Open Space Foundation. The information
listed is believed to be correct, however the Conejo Open Space Foundation assumes no
responsiblity for any errors, changes, omissions, trail hazards, accidents, property
right of use issues, or other aspects of the outings.

Wed Sep 8 Kimber Trailhead Loop

Moderate 4 to 5 mile round trip loop with 1200' elevation gain. Come and check out a new trail to most of you in Dos Vientos. This is the hill just south of Borchard Road and north of Kimber Drive. Bring water, food and lug soled shoes. Exit US101 Fwy at Wendy Drive. Turn south at end of offramp and head towards the beach. Turn right on Kimber Drive and proceed until it dead ends. Moderate 4 mile loop with an elevation gain/loss about 800 feet.
We'll take Moonridge and Stagecoach Bluff Trails overlooking Wildwood Canyon, then
continue into Box Canyon. After a snack break along Box Canyon Trail, we will reverse
direction and return by way of Mesa Trail. There are elevation gains and losses
along the entire route, with a significant gain near the end of the hike.
Drive to west end of Avenida de Los Arboles. Park in lot at Arboles & Big Sky

Help build a new trail at Wildwood Park to connect Upper and Lower Santa Rosa Trails. Meet at the Conejo Community Center, Thousand Oaks Botanical Garden entrance off Gainsborough Road for this Conejo Open Space Trail Work Day. After the trail work, lunch will be provided for volunteers and there will be a drawing for free prizes (including the grand prize: a free bicycle).

Dos Vientos Six Mile Loop

Explore some of the trails in the Dos Vientos area of the southwestern Conejo Valley.
There are a few street crossings and overviews of the nearby
Dos Vientos residential area. Also distant vistas of Camarillo, Thousand Oaks
the surrounding mountains and open space, a secluded pond, and the Pacific coast.
Park at Dos Vientos Community Center. Access parking lot from Borchard Rd.
Meet at south end of lot nearest Borchard / Las Brisas intersection.

Los Robles Trail to Angel Vista

Moderate 7 mile hike. Elevation gain/loss about 1000 ft.
Hike up Los Robles Trail, overlooking Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and the open space.
At the top, the picnic table at Angel Vista is the perfect place to stop for a snack break and to
enjoy the views of the city below, the Oxnard Plain, and mountains near and far.
On a clear day you can see the ocean and Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands.
Meet at the Oak Creek parking lot.
From south end of Moorpark Rd, turn right on Greenmeadow. Drive half mile to parking lot.
