Cholla or "jumping" cactus grows in many places in the Conejo Valley Open Space. It doesn't really "jump", but it does break off easily and sticks to anything that rubs against it.

Prickly Pear cactus also grows in many places in our Open Space. It's not quite as nasty as the Cholla, but can still cause some pain. It has beautiful blooms in the spring time.

Hungry trail workers lined up for a free barbecue following a morning of trail building and repair. The Andy Fox Charitable Community Fund provided funds for the barbecue. Andy Fox, Michael Berger and George Lange all tried to keep up with the crowd!

Nicholas Rosselot won the drawing for a $900 Trek bicycle donated by Westlake Cyclery. Mike Geiger, owner of Westlake Cyclery presented the bike at the free barbecue following the trail work.
